They rang EasyJet whom confirmed I could bring my order on board as hold luggage. Mike kept in constant contact, updating me on costs, weight, dimensions. In essence, Mike, his colleagues and the company had gone well overboard on customer service. Deal with them in total confidence. All I have to do now is fit them.
