These include pet shops, marriage counselor offices, and odd London streets, populated by upper-class twits, old ladies on motorcycles, bank robbers, crazy flashers, dirty forks, murderous chefs, and jokes that kill--literally. The sketches have been re-created for the big screen, without the ever-present laugh track, but are still loaded with Gilliam's outrageously funny surreal animation.     This is A British sit com that played on American Public Broadcasting stations in the late 1960's early 1970's and introduced us to irreverent humor/comedy that made no sense to Americans, but we came to understand the British mind. Great humor that stands the test of time
