About this product

Product Information

It is the 31st millennium, and humanity is at the peak of its powers. As the Great Crusade, led by Warmaster Horus, continues to conquer the galaxy, Fulgrim, Primarch of the Emperor's Children, leads his warriors into battle against a vile alien foe. From the blood of this campaign are sown the seeds that will lead this proud Legion to treachery, taking them down the darkest of paths of corruption. Leading up to the carnage of the Dropsite Massacre on Isstvan V, this is the tale of Fulgrim's tragic fall from grace.

  • A must-read for fans of the Horus Heresy.

This really was a great book. I've heard friends and podcasts suggest that some people do not like this book, and it seems their dislike is centered around two things: they don't like the Emperor's Children; the book is slow. First off, I am not a fan of the Emperor's Children at all. But this book still presented an interesting plot, a compelling backstory explaining their fall to Chaos, and other insight and information that fits in with the larger picture of the HH. To me, this book is worth it alone for the interactions between Fulgrim and Ferrus. About the book being slow, I guess you could say that if you can only stand to read about things blowing up non-stop. Bought this for my fiancé, and he loves it. He loves the whole series! He's addicted, and can't put it down! And this is a man who NEVER READS. But you put one of these in front of him? You've lost him.

  • Great addition to the Horus Heresy line.

One of the better books in the Horus Heresy line. Essential for fans of then Emperors Children, naturally. Iron Hands also get some face time that's good.
