I have tested this machine using 3.2mm rods. It seems to do a very clean weld with good penetration. Also tried out using my Honda generator and again, nice clean weld achieved. It is incredibly light and easy to carry around. Time will be the ultimate test, but so far impressed.

Got it yesterday and burned about 30 2.5mm rods and about 6 3.2mm rods never cut out once. Leads are short but with the small size of the unit you don't need long leads. I wish I had it 40 years ago when doing concrete plant maintenance instead of lugging around a Pickhill bantam. I haven't used a stick for about 30 years as it's all mig now but this little welder is sweet
