    Brilliant little tool I should have bought years ago

    The bobbin winder is much smaller than I expected, but wow is this a great must-have item for home sewers! The unit has a closing-locking lid with handle and is 'wipe-clean' as needed, the battery compartment is easy to access, and the embossed arrows show how to thread to start a bobbin winding properly. The speed is just right - neither too slow or fast - and I am getting nicely wound bobbins from it. I love having a peripheral bobbin winder that means I don't have to use the sewing machine winding function in the middle of a sewing project. When the factory batteries it came with slow down I'll be replacing with rechargeable ones. Instruction leaflet fits inside the lid for storage and also a threading diagram is on the box.

    A quick way to wind your bobbins, especially if you want more than one

    This is an old version and it was hard work getting my Pfaff bobbin to fit, it seems slightly smaller than the current versions of the Sidewinder. However it works well once it started although as usual I overfilled; it didn't work on this, I had to unwind some thread. It is a very quick way of getting bobbins filled, especially in bulk though and saves messing around filling through the machine.

    Handy little machine

    I bought this because the bobbin winder is broken on my old sewing machine and this little machine will allow me to keep my machine. It is also useful to wind a bobbin without unthreading sewing machine when in the middle of sewing.

    Bobbin winding machine

    It's very handy gadget. I past few years all new bobbins I've purchased, even though advertised and sold as universal, they no longer fit as the old ones. The inside width is just too narrow, even though it looks right and I have been filing down inside of my new bobbins because of that. Now I do not have to bother, this little machine takes care of it and it's fast. I highly recommend if you having problem like I have to fit new bobbins.

    Very good

    You can wind the bobbing and you don’t have to and thread your machine and it winds a lot better than some sewing machines. I’ve had one for years but I gave that to my granddaughter so I needed a new one because I can’t do without it.
