    Easy on, easy to store

    I didn't think one made sense support wise so I ordered two for my 2014 F115. Took the susceptible zerk fitting off the motor that you would crush with the starboard side support tube and made a flush plug for it. I take that out and put the zerk fitting in when I need to grease that spot. Feels like it locks the motor well. Now I realize that I need to get the Hydraulic ram sleeves to take the stress of the steering cylinder.

    Need it or not?

    When I purchased my boat new, I was not told about this item being recommended by Yamaha. After trailering my boat the Fl. Keys and the trim unit having issues, the marina suggested I start using one. I feel like Yamaha should supply one with every outboard if it is a critical item to be using in order to prevent trim unit problems. This item is easy to use and works great. Have not had any problems since using it.
