    Great accessory for Nikon 1

    This accessory allows use of Nikon D-SLR lenses on the Nikon1 camera bodies effectively turning them into ultra telephoto lenses. The only issue is you can only use the center auto focus point. The FT-1 works well and decreases the angle of view of each lens by 2.7 times, an example is that a 55-200mm lens now preforms like a 148.5-540mm lens. The only other downside is that the lens attached needs to use an ultrasonic style focus motor to use auto focus. Overall I'm very pleased with the unit on both Nikon V1 and nikon V3

    focus-optimization of most Nikon F mount lenses is now a thing with this adapter on Nikon 1

    I can now optimize focus with many of my manual Nikon f-mount lenses with this adapter, which alone made this adapter worth the purchase. But the fact that I can use auto-focus lenses with this adapter is the bees knees! However, I needed to update the firmware on it to be able to auto-focus the 80-200 F2/8D Nikkor lens. this lens was not on Nikon's list of accepted lenses, but it worked! If the adapter fails with an auto-focus lens, you cannot do anything with that lens on the camera (the camera freezes - safety feature?), so make sure you have a "dumb" adapter as well, as a fall-back option (with a Nikon1 J5, anyway) to use good lenses with the Nikon 1 camera.

    Simple and effective

    Simple attachment with the required electronic connections to enable my camera, a Nikon 1 AW1, to use Nikkor lenses. No moving places, just the adapter which also has a tripod attachment plate. Good quality, made in Japan.

    Works amazingly well!

    Solidly built, the Nikon FT-1 lens adapter does what it should. It lets you mount your Nikon F mount lenses on the Nikon 1 series cameras. It preserves auto-focus on AF-S lenses and auto exposure on all D and G series lenses.

    Extend the capability of your J series

    Allows for use of F mount lenses like the Nikon AF-P 70-300 Zoom which is a fantastic combination for wildlife but still light and silent
