This is a big book, although still technically softcovered. The artwork is bright and bold, the paper stock nice and heavy. Volume 2 of the Age of Apocalypse tell the tale of an alternative future in which Professor X has been killed, Magneto has stepped in to be the X_Men's mentor, and all hell has literally broken loose. Apocalypse means to exterminate all Homo Sapiens, and the mutants have chosen sides. Long time good guys are now the heavies, and ultimates baddies now wear the white hats. Volume 2 takes it's merging story from eight different titles, so there is some confusion. But it's a non linear tale, so it's OK. It takes abit to get used to seeing well know characters drawn in a highly stylized fashion, I think it only hightens the reading experience.
bought this to finally know the whole story of the age of apocalypse. thoroughly enjoying the read and have no complaints.
