    Great for spraying

    This is first time I used this product and found it easy to spay from a garden sprayer which I mixed 60 percent wax and 40 percent white spirit. It didn’t clog the sprayer unlike others. I felt a second coat was required after 24 hours to achieve a good depth. I also like to apply the wax by brush in higher impact areas and this may be a challenge for this product as it is thinner than, for example, waxoyl - so perhaps ‘horses for courses’. I bought this on offer and at £35 it was much cheaper than rivals so this also helped form a positive view. If it was as expensive as rivals I’m not sure I would be so impressed as I may take the view that it is more diluted than competitors.

    Maintains Provenance

    This is a great product for preserving the provenance of old kit, vehicles, tractors etc. It works very well on steel that is showing it's age but not rusted through, just paint it on almost like water so it goes a long way, no need to remove old paint just rub lightly with a plastic scouring pad dust off and apply as per instructions. It dries and doesn't leave a sticky mess like wax oil If it's good enough for Sam Lovegrove and Henry Cole it's good enough for all of us.

    The wax is a great way to enhance and protect old metal surfaces from further damage.

    Good stuff, I gave an old metal drawer unit a good clean and the wax has protected and enhance the surface. It now looks great even although its an old bit if kit.

    Ankor wax corrosion preventative

    I'm using this to protect a lathe that lives in my garage that gets quite a lot of condensation over winter. I had hoped to spray this product with a trigger pump bottle, but it's far too thick for that, at least at UK autumn temperatures. It does however apply by brush very well, and dries to non sticky covering. So far I like Ankor Wax, but only time will tell how well it keeps the rust at bay.

    The original

    I use this to wipe across original classic vehicle paintwork, it brings out the colour while protecting it too. Apply with a cloth and wipe off excess. As with everything though, the price has increased by some 35% in the last 2 years.
