This is a wonderful book for a serious cook and a wonderful book to learn about Chinese cooking. The cook needs to be in or near a big city to buy all the necessary products.

A Must Have Chinese Cookbook
Barbara Tropp was a master at blending her personal passion to learn the Art of Chinese Cooking with acquiring knowledge that she gained experience both here and in Taiwan. Her book is eminently thorough and easily readable. As they say, the proof is in the pudding and she later turned her talents into practice when she created on of San Fransisco's favorite Chinese Bistros.
