Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Best-selling in Heart Rate Monitors
Original FS1 stores workout duration & average HR in memory, later ones also store max HR. Minor difference. This is the best Polar monitor - Polar has gone downhill since with ugly cases, useless complication, hard to read numerals, higher cost.

As purchased, it was a good deal. After using it, however, I can only recommend it with limitations. #1: Do NOT use it around other wireless products (it interferes with them, aka "cross-talk") #2: It lacks a very basic feature: Maximum heart rate recording To solve #1 and add #2, opt for a unit that supports Polar's coded transmissions (the FS1 is supplied with the T31 chest transmitter, which does not supply coded data; nor does the FS1 take advantage of the coded data from Polar's T31c chest transmitter). Remember: You get what you pay for!

I used to love these things but things have changed. I received one of these that didn't work (no face display) then a replacement that didn't work (couldn't pick up heart rate). My assumption is that the battery was dead in the watch the first time, and in the chest strap the next time. Unfortunately, I think since the Smart & GPS watches came out, these aren't selling much any more and their sitting around on back stock shelves while the batteries die.

It's not the easyest watch to use but it gives more information than others I have had. It is usually within one to two heart beats of the readout on the equipment I'm on at the gym at the time. I don't know which is right but it's so close I don't worry. It is also water resistant which is good because I have other watches that have got wet when I took a shower and forgot to remove the watch. The readout is large enough to see with ease compared to some watches. having just one button is something I like because when you are exercising it is easy to start and stop.
Invaluable piece of kit for fitness training and also a nice looking watch with simple, large and very usable digits and a very simple menu to use when programming in your maximal and minimal heart rates, and filing away your results plus sorting out the dates etc. Not a fancy piece of kit but functional with a nice look to it too, this is my third one, the first eventually stopped working, after a couple of battery replacements and after 6 years, the second I left in the UK and this last one is waterproof, so it is even better than my last two.

Does not have a lot of bells and whistles, but I can't take the time to play with them all while running or riding. If you want basic functionality of heart rate that's accurate, time and calories, this very cost effective product is for you.

I've used the FS1 for years with my daily spin bike routine. If all you care about is monitoring your heart rate, this works perfectly, simply, and the battery lasts for years. I've never had one problem with this very good watch.

I am very happy with the quality of this Monitor because, along with keeping an accurate picture of your heart rate, via your attached chest belt, you also have the day of the week and the daily number in the month. the Fs1 is an older model but still a great value. I would recommend your applying a special gel on the chest belt that Is available on EBay, enabling you to wear belt longer in the day without drying out.

These will require purchasing a new chest strap every 1.5 years. look for a Fitness monitor that has a rechargeable battery.
