    Wing Chun beginner basics

Only highlights the basics of Wing Chun. OK for beginners, but not much help for anyone with "good" Wing Chun experience. Leung showed a few very important hand techniques, but the concept and importance behind them were not discussed, which could lead to some bad habits.

  • It's good if you watch it several times & PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE!!!

This Wing Chun DVD is very good for any student of the martial arts. I purchased it because of the topic of it's subtitle "The science of in fighting". I have been a student of kung fu and kempo, and I felt that my in fighting skills were inadequate. When defending yourself or others on the street, in fighting skills are the most important. Many black belts and masters are now focusing more on these techniques, as does this this DVD. The DVD was a pleasure to watch but you have to watch it several times and practice alot through and between viewings. IT is not about one punch street fight knockouts. You will have to spend some time with this but you will find that it pays off.

  • It will be useful

I enjoy seeing a pro do the form but he goes straight through if you really pay attention and rewatch over and over and practice but you should get a book or teacher to study at some point

  • Science of In-fighting

It is good but you need more understanding. I would only recommend it to experienced martial artists or you lose the whole picture of Wing Chun. It is really good for the beginner as well as the advanced if you are only interested in the History of the art but it is not for teaching. If you are a historian it is nice to have it in your library.

  • Wing Chun review

This is a great overview of Wing Chung the fastest ,most efficient fight system to learn. The overview is complete and allows one to gasp the underlying concepts on first inpeection. Their is much more here than meets the eye though.Excellent for novice practitioners and those looking for the first time at numerous systems this is a great baseline system to evaluate effective fighting systems.Good Luck
