  • One of the best books by Max Allan Collins

I had read it previously and loved it. I'm trying to acquire the whole set and no one else had this title. It's a character-driven hard boiled mystery that Sam Spade might have loved reading. Even the fact that the main character is a hit man and spends all his time killing people (in the Quarry series) didn't spoil my liking for him. That's the genious of Max Allen Collins.
