    Worth every penny

    This lens realy is the business and worth every penny. I shoot motorbike racing and although a lot of people use Canon or Nikon systems for this type of thing I wanted to stick with my Sony A700 system. Compared to any other lens I've tried this lens is way ahead of everything else by any manufacturer. Its fast, holds focus and the images are razor sharp. I researched the web for reviews and they all said that its up there with the Canon & Nikon equivalent lenses and better than the independant brands. Its heavy but very usable hand held, a monopod isn't essential but useful. I find it very easy to carry as I move around and cover a fair distance on foot with the lens attached to the body with battery grip etc without any problems.     Great lens.

    Sorry for the delay on the review but only just had a chance to use the lens due to a shoulder operation. Very pleased with this and it works and operate just fine. I have added a picture of a pigeon I took holding the camera rather than mounted on a tripod and excellent detail.

    Simply superb

    I've had this lens a few months now, and it is simply superb. Sharpness, contrast, resolution, and out of focus blur are all top notch. I have had many other top lenses including Zeiss primes, and this lens is my favourite in terms of versatility, and performance. The only drawback for some people may be the size, and weight, of the lens.

    AWESOME QUALITY THROUGHOUT THE ZOOM LEVELS WITH NO LOSS IN SHARPNESS

    THIS LENS IS WORTH EVERY PENNY.IT PERFORMS IN ALMOST ANY SITUATION.IT CAN BE HAND HELD WHERE MANY OTHER LOW PRICE LENS NEED A TRIPOD.THE LENS IS ON THE HEAVY SIDE BUT WORTH IT FOR QUALITY.WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE CONSIDERING TO PURCHASE IT.
