Wow was I impressed when I first started to play this game! Having played the first Red Steel(even though it had plenty of issues) and really enjoying it, my hopes for the sequel were even higher especially after the previews. The graphics are cell shaded, but look fantastic for a Wii game and really showcase how being creative can make graphics flourish even on a less powerful system. Building this game strictly with Wii Motion Plus in mind was a brilliant move as well. You really do feel like you are using a sword and there are subtle touches that make you feel that you are not playing a video game. On the opposite end though there are things in Red Steel 2 that go back to gaming 101. Collectible coins and tokens, various side missions, and money is in EVERYTHING!!!! You destroy something (anything) and money will come out. My biggest complaint with Red Steel 2 is that it gets a little repetitive and is very liner. I did however stick it out through the end which I can't say about a lot of games and just goes to show how much fun it still is to play. I strongly recommend Red Steel 2 to anyone looking for a great single player experience on the Wii.Read full review
So I bought this unsure of what I was really going to get. The first game(Red Steel) works as intended, not that it is good, but the game itself doesn't have any problems. The second game(Red Steel 2), is the main reason I bought this bundle. I came to a problem with Wii motion plus not working, I'm not sure if it's the games fault or the Wii motion plus. I'm leaning towards the Wii motion plus being the problem. Anyway, you get what you paid for, nothing less nothing more, the reason for a four star instead of a five, is the problems with the Wii motion plus, other than that it's fine. It was a great overall Price.

I enjoy this game a lot. It's not perfect but if you are looking for better swordplay for the Wii, this is it. Lots of fun slashing and stabbing. The movement ratio is not exactly 1:1 as they adverstise but it's pretty darn close. Some of the gameplay is a little random (like the safecracking) but overall it's fun. A bit of a b-list kung-fun movie storyline but I personally don't think all video games need to have epic sagas lol. Unless you have athletic arms/shoulders already, you will want to ease yourself into this game and play only an hour at a time at most. Otherwise you will be very very sore.
I was pretty excited when I saw the preview for this game. Unfortunately I quickly lost interest after about a hour of playing it. The missions are short and kind of point less...and the fact there are mission at all kinda sucks. I just wanted to roam around, figure thing out, roll into town, explore. Nope...just pick a bounty from your home base...wait a really long time for the door to open...go kill some guys...come back...do a little bit of training...pick a bounty..kill..come back...boring. Also the wii motion wasn't very responsive and didn't impress me. I just want more freedom in games and this one was claustrophobic and restrictive, it's too bad..it looked cool.
I thought the game was new because it was in such good shape.
