A film by Norman Jewison but thoroughly First Nations' (Canadian Native American) themes. Loved the performances. It's a brilliant coming of age story on a reservation and the interactions between White and Native American at a local bar. I love the cinematography, too!
I love all the Actors in this movie.. You don't see many Native-American movies made today.. I love their Culture... I Love seeing Adam Beach and Michael Greyeyes.. I love the story of friends looking out for one another.. How family can put together and help each other... I think it's a cool story...
I saw this movie on HBO and didnt know what to expect. It blew me away. It had me laughing and other parts were sad. What was great about it was that it was real. I'd recommend it to everyone
Phenomenal! This movie was very dramatic and should have been a blockbuster ten times over. Filmed in Canada, this is one of the few movies in which the actors portraying aborigional roles are actual natives.... Not caucasians done up to appear somewhat native. 5 Stars, A+, this film shows the sad realms occuring in Native communities and the modern racism still occuring in North American society.
