The Rock (aka Duane Johnson) firmly establishes himself as a major Hollywood force in WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE, an engaging action-comedy directed by Peter Berg. Johnson/Rock plays Beck, a retriever-for-hire, who is sent on one final mission before he can retire and realize his dream of opening up a restaurant. Swapping the cement streets of Los Angeles for the jungles of the Amazon, Beck begins his quest to locate his boss' son, Travis (Seann William Scott). When he walks into the establishment of the beautiful Mariana (Rosario Dawson), he does just that. But before he can drag Travis back to the airstrip and deliver him to his father, the evil Hatcher (Christopher Walken) arrives and reminds Beck that this is his jurisdiction. Apparently, Travis is incredibly close to locating a rare relic, and until that happens, Hatcher isn't letting Travis out of his sight. Of course, Beck uses his talent for kicking ass to escape with Travis, but after their jeep tumbles off a mountain, they find themselves trapped in the jungle with Hatcher hot on their trail. Berg's film breathes with a lighthearted air that is truly refreshing for the action genre, while the relentlessly hilarious interplay between The Rock and Scott is a sight to behold.

    l bought this dvd and l absoutlly love it,anyway becks (the rock)is a bounty hunter sent into a remote town deep in the amazon jungle to bring travis (seann william scott) back to the states.when becks and travis join forces to hunt down a pricless treasure,the action starts.this film is perfect for you to just sit and have a good laugh with the kids or even on your own,you will not be disappointed.

    Not a let down, welcome to the jungle.

    I fully enjoyed this film from the start to the finish! Starring Sean William Scott (American Pie) and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson (WWE/Scorpion King), it boasts a good storyline with great action scenes. Outline: Beck, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, is sent to do one last retrieval job for the mob, which will pay a good amount for his ambitious plans to open a restaurant when free orders. His mission: Retrieve Sean William Scott from the Amazon and bring him back to his father. That is just for tasters and you must watch the film to find out the rest of the story... But, reviewing the two main actors, Dwayne Johnson and Sean William Scott: The Rock pulls off a 'hard-man' role mixed with comedy scenes which proves very funny in some scenes and in one part, I could not stop laughing because it ...
