Empire - Yippee-ki-yay! Willis still has the goods. Credit to Wiseman, who keeps the thrills coming, and pass the popcorn
Consumer Advice
Contains frequent action violence and one use of strong language
Additional Information
After a twelve-year hiatus, Bruce Willis is back as New York City detective John McClane, who still plays by his own set of rules. Following DIE HARD (1988), DIE HARD 2 (1990), and DIE HARD WITH A VENGEANCE (1995), the fourth instalment in the popular action series stars DEADWOOD's Timothy Olyphant as Thomas Gabriel, an evil mastermind who is determined to bring down the entire infrastructure of the United States on Independence Day, sending the country into anarchy and chaos. Joining him on his mission of destruction is the elegant Mai, played by Maggie Q from MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE III. McClane becomes involved when he gets caught in the crossfire while transporting prisoner Matt Farrell (Justin Long, IDIOCRACY), a hacker extraordinaire who is the perfect complement to the old-school McClane, who eschews mobile phones, computers, and doing anything the easy way. But when Gabriel kidnaps McClane's daughter, Lucy (Mary Elizabeth Winstead, DEATH PROOF), it gets personal. Full of the sarcastic humour, exciting action sequences--including a car flying into a helicopter--and fun characters that have defined the series, DIE HARD 4.0 is an excellent addition, directed by Len Wiseman (UNDERWORLD). The movie also features Kevin Smith as a computer geek known as Warlock, who still lives in his mother's basement.

  • Back with a bang!

I got this DVD for my Dad, a Die Hard Die Hard fan (excuse the pun!) and it did not dissapointed! The special features are fantastic as are th deleted scenes, although when I watched it, some bits were actually completely different than what I saw in the cinema, for instance, the bit where John fires the car up into the air and the wee guy runs up and says "Can't believe you just killed a helicopter with a car!", John's reply to this was originally "I was out of bullets" However he says something completely different in this DVD edition...if you want to know what it is....buy this edition of the DVD!!!

  • Die Hard 4.0 (DVD)

A excellent film in keeping with previous Die Hard traditions, this film keeps you on the edge with spectacular special effects plenty of action with very little down time so to speak

  • Die Hard Rules

Right lets get sraight to it, No die hard 4 isnt as good as its predecessors but thats not to say its a bad film. In my opinion its brilliant, Bruce Willis is as good as ever and there is plenty of action and amazing set pieces to keep everyone entertained. Die hard 1 and 2 are the best films in the series and I think this is because their location is in one place, i.e a skyscraper and airport which is what I prefer. I still love die hard 3 and 4 tho but not as much.

  • Back on form

Die hard has to be the best film ever made. Edge of the seat action all the way. The series gradually got worse, ending on Die Hard 3. After a 10 year break it's back bigger and better than Die Hard 2 and 3. Not as giood as the original, but a very close second place to the best film ever made

  • die hard 4

decided to get it cause have the other three on dvd to add to my collection i'm die hard fan.....3623
