  • LIVE AND LET DIE ULTIMATE EDITION DVD

This is one of the best ultimate edition James Bond dvds. The picture quality is outstanding. One of the major plus factors is the newly recorded commentary by Sir Roger Moore. He provides a witty and infermative insight into the making of the film without becoming boaring or sounding pompus like some other commentarys. It would have been nice to have some deleated scenes but I guess they couldnt find any footage. The Bond 1973 documentary is they interesting dispite the poor quality and I enjoyed the Roger Moore circa 1964 - this scetch featured Roger Moore playing James Bond for the first time. I admit that I didnt even know it existed. This two disk edition is worth adding to your collection. It contains all the special features in the origional Special Edition dvd so you can buy it ...

  • Bond takes on voodoo-infested Jamaica...

This is my Mum's Personal Favouite in the Series and I just had to Buy it for her. In his first turn as James Bond, Roger Moore infiltrates a gang of narcotics smugglers in voodoo-infested Jamaica. His daring exploits lead him on a number of incredible chases. Great Film in the Bond Series.

  • Live and Let Die - Ultimate Edition

My personal favourite of Roger Moore's Bond films, I bought this after owning it on Special Edition DVD. The difference in picture quality is amazing. Colours are much more vibrant and there is far more detail in the image. Of course, everyone knows the film by now - a perfect start for Moore and an entertaining mix of all the expected Bond ingredients. The stunts are among the best in the series and the script is witty without becoming too silly as some of the later Bonds would do. The DVD would be worth it just for the film itself but it also features a host of entertaining extras including a very funny commentary by Moore. Along with the usual making-ofs, trailers and some rare footage taken during the film's production, this is an essential purchase for any Bond fan.

  • Live And Let Die? Let Die.

I bought this because I'm a fan of James Bond films, but had never seen Live And Let Die. Now I've finally watched it, I don't intend to do so again. My impression was that this film amounts to a series of not particularly exciting chases and a tepid romance between Roger Moore's Bond and Jane Seymour's character, Solitaire. Of course, there is a plot involving Yaphet Kotto's villain, Mr. Big, some voodoo and some drugs, but nothing that has really stayed with me because I found the film so dull. This is not to knock Roger's James Bond - his The Spy Who Loved Me, for example, is among the very best of the series - but merely to knock Live And Let Die, which also includes a number of irritating racial stereotypes who'd be highly unlikely to crop up on film nowadays. A huge disappointment. ...
