A very entertaining DVD capturing the genius of Leonard Bernstein!
I bought this DVD about the the work of Leonard Bernstein as I had been looking for it for quite a while. I first saw it on a Sky Arts programme where American musical theatre artists came together in celebration of his work, and discussed the music and songs from 3 films On The Town, Wonderful Town and West Side Story. The production team decided to take the filming out onto the streets of New York where the stories and songs in each film were based. I really enjoyed the musical artists' singing, and the orchestral arrangements too which were pure Leonard Bernstein. This DVD is a one off in my opinion, and the whole production was so well put together. I was so lucky to have found a copy, as I did manage to find the soundtrack on CD, so now I have them both. If you are an admirer ... I bought this DVD about the the work of Leonard Bernstein as I had been looking for it for quite a while.
