Product Information
Ridley Scott's epic historical drama is set in the 12th century at the Crusader defence of Jerusalem. Orlando Bloom plays Balian de Ibelin, a village blacksmith and the illegitimate son of Godfrey de Ibelin, a crusader knight returned from the Holy Land. He persuades Balian that riches await those who go to defend the city and its Christian King Baldwin against the attack of Saladin, who seeks to win the city back for the Muslim faith. Balian, as well as falling for Baldwin's sister Sibylla, finds himself a power broker between the two factions, with the fate of the city in his hands.
