  • Horror product with a grand hokum content.

Unfortunatly this copy is not the best example. Scratched and grazed it plays on some Dvd players but not others. As the film is rare, what can one do? However, the film itself is a delight. An excellent example of fine british actors engulfed in a silly story and giving the lack luster script their best efforts. A grand example of british horror right down to the rubber monsters. An art lost to us by the computer. It could sit with pride in any early horror collection.

  • Night of the Big Heat

Siignificant British sci-fi thriller because it was the last film to pair Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing. It's a story of an island off the coast of Britain that is sweltering in a maddening heatwave while the mainland shivers in snow. Needless to say, aliens are to blame (although when you finally see them you can be excused for tittering). Director Terence Fisher, who helmed some of the Haammer classics, seems lost in the world of science fiction. The pace is almost funereal and what suspense there is is badly weakened by an irrelevant love story. But it's always a pleasure to see Lee and Cushing, no matter how corny the movie.

  • Must-see movie from 1967,

Great cast of Patrick Allen, Jane Merrow, Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee. Saw this film years ago and it is finally on DVD. Without giving too much away, the story is about Britain shivering in winter but a northerly little island is basking high in the nineties and no one can explain this, not even the Met office. A visiting scientist reckons aliens are to blame. Also in the cast are some stalwarts of British film like Sarah Lawson, William Lucas, Kenneth Cope (of Randall & Hopkirk fame)and Thomas Heathcote. These people are all regulars of the Swan pub, where most of the film is set. Some great characters and fine acting. Jane Merrow is really outstanding in a real `vampie way`. She sizzles and helps to set pulses racing with her sex-appeal. She once had an affair with Patrick Allen who ...

  • A sizzling slice of british sci-fi.

This film is without doubt one of my favourite sci-fi flicks from the 60's and I have watched it dozens of times. It may not be everybody's cup of tea,but I do recommend giving it a go!
