WORTH WATCHING
I have watched this film over the years on TV and through it was ok. At this viewing I now regard it as a better product than I believed. It is not a laugh out loud comedy, but the smiles kept coming. Peggy Mount as usual is a treasure to watch as are the many other actors even the minor charters with few lines did marvellously. I loved the granny on her death bed screaming and attacking the bully boy officials. I have watched this film over the years on TV and through it was ok. Ladies who do film. A good B/W Film
Great film, days of old etc. However, many folk nowerdays would consider it poor quality, High def and all that. Personnally I do not care for HD, I can not really see the point. But the film is good, what I would consider good Sunday afternoon viewing. OK it's black and white, but you should be able to see past that. Those of us who were brought up on black and white, it does not make any difference. I first saw this in the cinema when it was first released. It made me laugh then and in my 80s It still makes me laugh. We ALL need to laugh as much as possible.
