You must buy this!
One of the best dramas to come from the UK. The story writing is amazing, some of the most exciting stories I have ever watched on tv. The acting is great, the characters are fun to watch and memorable.

The Bill Series 3
Classic Old Bill. The Police Force - sorry, Service, - has changed so much since these early episodes (Series 1-3) were written, and the series itself is now listed in Schott's Miscellany as a soap, not a drama, so it's interesting to remember that the original series were painstakingly researched, written or consulted on by real live coppers, watched avidly by Met. officers and praised by them for their accuracy. Some of it - not least the realistic storylines, subtle character development and social commentary - is a very long way from the ghastly joke that is now shown under the same title. So, if you like The Bill now, this isn't for you. It's slower, more thoughtful, funnier and immeasurably sadder and much,much cleverer. If you enjoy well-written dramas that can be viewed ... The third series is special as it is the debut of Sunhill's (and in television history) longest serving copper PC Tony Stamp (Graham Cole) and the departure of the hidden gem of show's success DI Roy Galloway (John Salthouse). It also has exciting story lines such as the demise of Sgt. Penny (Roger Leach) when he is shot and Sunhill's most recognisable sergeant, Bob Cryer (Eric Richard) meets his match with the station's first uniformed inspector.If there's anything special about buying 'The Bill' DVD's then look no further than series three.
