  • The Omega Factor - largely forgotten

This series has so much going for it. Largely forgotten and complained about in the press at the time, it has a mixture of X Files and Sea of Souls type situations. It also has an ongoing story and a brilliant performance from James Hazeldine who was later to appear in London's Burning. Complex, low key, sometimes genuinely frightening and original this is a must for lovers of Supernatural television.

  • I wanted to love it really I did but....

I like this kind of topic in films. I like the paranormal, supernatural, spooky stuff and I don't care if it is old or if it is in black and white or slow moving and I have never heard of this one before and someone said to me they liked it so I thought I would try it out. What was the main problem for this with me is that it didn't seem to have any plot. It started in the middle of nowhere and ended up in the middle of nowhere and went nowhere in the middle. Sure, one or two (at the most) of the storyline where good and even the acting and the actors where good. I think this is one of those things that was let down by the script writers. For example, they where battling with people from a baddie organisation. What this organisation was about, where they were located, any background ...

  • Great series for afficiondos of the genre!

I recall watching this on TV in 1979, but then moved overseas and never saw it broadcast again. An excellently and intelligently written series that challenged the viewer. The rather useful script tool of killing off the hero's wife in the first episode was one also used in the pilot episode of Gene Roddenberry's 'Earth - Final Conflict' which was designed to similarly engage the hero in the need to become part of the team. This is a must-see for fans of James Hazeldine, sadly now deceased. A great series that the BBC ran shy of continuing regretfully!
