    Good timbre, good spatiality. Everything else is kinda meh

    I had high hopes for these IEMs as I was thinking it would not just bring the timber but retain the transients that so many other fast attack/decay IEMs and headphones have today. The special timber is there, for sure. And if this was 2005, that alone would make these IEMs exceptionally special. But today, with so many IEMs across the entire pricing spectrum, from the $25 electrostat hybrids to summit-fi IEMs providing incredible detail, transients, and resonance, the HA FW10K's special timbre just isn't enough to make these IEMs feel special for most types of music. Would I pay $100 for the sound these produce? absolutely. Would I spend $300, i dunno, probably, I guess. But I wouldn't pay $500, much less the exorbitant price I ended up paying. Timbre may be amazing, and spacing ...
