About this product

Product Information

Bullfrog's comical business simulation leaps onto the Genesis with Theme Park, challenging you to build a financially successful amusement park amidst heavy competition. You'll begin by purchasing land to build your first effort, and then make decisions on the type of rides (each rated in excitement, reliability and maximum capacity), concessions (from coffee shops to Balloon Lands) and layout (placing trees, fences, lakes and restrooms). You'll also have to hire staff to run your establishment, including entertainers, mechanics, and even guards to prevent hoodlums from spoiling the fun.

Of course, every piece of sidewalk, signpost or staff member will cost you money, so you'll have to make sure your park earns enough to support itself. This is done through building "hot" attractions and placing shops in locations to maximize their effectiveness. An icon driven interface involves using the pad to place objects within the park and buttons to choose various actions. Don't take too long building your park; the days are passing by while you play! Options include setting the game's difficulty level (easy, medium or hard), the temperament of park visitors (happy, normal or fussy), and level of competition (easy, medium or hard). Passwords allow you to resume your park after turning off the system.

Cards were as-described, costs were acceptable, shipping time was fast. Of the four cards ordered, they were stored two to one penny sleeve, and both penny sleeves were kept in a BCW semi-rigid card holder, taped at the top to prevent slippage; while I would have preferred a hard plastic toploader, this was fine - better than nothing, right? Package also came with some sponsored advertisement slips for events in Georgia, and South Carolina, which is amusing to receive, as an international buyer.

5 Star Seller ***** SUPER Fast Shipping, Packaged Safely, Accurate Description, Great Communication.. I would definitely buy from this seller again. Thank You!!! :) This NES Romance of the Three Kingdoms 2 map is in collector-quality condition and is a welcome addition to my collection. Special thanks for protecting this expensive map wrapped with a plastic covering and a cardboard backing that prevented it from being bent during shipping. I appreciate the extra care that you took.

  • Addictive

Theme Park is addictive and one of SEGAS most underrated games. The game plays like SIM City, naturally, and has you running a theme park down to the smallest of specifics (How much salt to use in food, new rides attractions, keeping staff happy* among some mild examples). The Nintendo DS version has been updated w/ better graphics and the same old gameplay. However, I'm a sucker for nostalgia and love this game. It's gameplay is quite challenging keeping a Theme Park running $$ - so have fun :)

  • A great theme park game...

This is a great you build it, you run it, you own it game. The graphics are great and you have challenges to complete for upgrades. I enjoyed this game and recommend it for everyone...

  • Theme Park

This is a classic game. The music gets on your nerves and brings Stephen King's IT to mind, but other than that, its a Sim Theme Park game. It does well at making you think and its quite fun.
