TWILIGHT is based on the first book in the addictive series by author Stephenie Meyer. Director Catherine Hardwicke (THIRTEEN) certainly knows her audience, which is primarily the teenage girls who worship the book and its characters. There are plenty of swoonworthy shots of Pattinson's perfectly pale Edward, and his romance with Stewart's nicely acted Bella will cause many a sigh among the devoted fans. While TWILIGHT is primarily a love story in the ROMEO AND JULIET mold, there's also plenty of action and horror to be found. Blood flows (this is a vampire movie, after all), but the small amount of gore shouldn't be too much for the squeamish viewers--and it might even draw a boy or two to the screen. The film's record-breaking box office take alone is proof that the film's appeal isn't limited to screaming teen girls.

Twilight
Seventeen year old Bella Swan has decided to leave sunny Phoenix to spend some time with her father Charlie Swan and minor league baseball-playing stepfather Phil Dwyer can go on the road together for spring training and perhaps even move to Jacksonville, Florida. Bella's relationship with her father is cool, even though she hasn't seen him in several years. When she arrives in Forks, he surprises her with the gift of a red pickup truck that he purchased from his best friend Billy Black. Bella remembers making mudpies with Billy's son Jacob and looks forward to having at least one friend at Forks High School, until Jacob reminds her that he is a Quileute Indian and goes to school on the Reservation. Not to worry. On her first day of school, Bella is befriended by Eric Yorkie, the school's ... Twilight - Must see movie!
I'm sure you all know about the Twilight series by now. The story of Bella, human, falling in love with Edward, vampire (who doesn't drink human blood). As far as the movie goes I found it to be a GREAT companion to the book. I did read the book first and therefore I knew the reasons behind some of the acting. All in all an EXCELLENT series to invest your time in. The movie really helps to give you faces for the characters and it gives you that 3 dimensional feel to aid the books in feeling a bit more "full". I consider this a MUST-SEE movie regardless. However some things in the movie may not make complete sense if you haven't read the book. Even my husband likes it (which is apparently a rare thing).I'm sure you all know about the Twilight series by now. Why is it considered to be a really good movie?
Firstly, I am really glad I rented this movie. I intended to buy it but in spite of its great reviews, the consensus of opinion from people I know was that it sucks! I decided to judge for myself. I wouldn't be so harsh as to say it sucks but the lead actors did appear to be completely devoid of energy. Suffice to say, I am definitely not a Pattison fan. He is sadly lacking both in personality and lustre. I fell asleep twice watching this movie and I didn't bother playing back the parts I missed so I guess that about sums it up.Firstly, I am really glad I rented this movie. I was told to watch the first Twillight, movie first before I go to the movie to see Twillight New Moon, so it would all tie together. so I bought it and just loved the fist Twillight movie now I can't wait to see the next one. But It is not showing now in my town ,so I'll have to wait till it comes out on DVD. Nevered thought that a scary movie could be a love story but it is.
