The entire second season of one of television history's most famous and ground breaking sitcoms is compiled in this collection. Already a presence on television for much of the 1960s and 1970s, in 1984 Bill Cosby debuted his new series THE COSBY SHOW, which went on to become one of the most popular shows on television. Even in its very first year, THE COSBY SHOW was the third highest rated show in America. On the program, Cosby played Dr. Heathcliff Huxtable, who along with his wife Claire, an attorney, struggled to balance the challenges of their successful careers with the demands of their five children. The five kids all varied greatly in age and each had their own problems, which lead to a variety of plotlines for the sitcom to utilize. Cosby's goal with the show was to present a positive view of a regular, middle-class, and successful African-American family.

DVD was described as being in "Very Good" condition, but arrived loose in case. It had some scratches obviously from being loose, but also some scratches and marring, which were already present before shipping. The condition should have been "Good" and not "Very Good". That said, seller worked with me on the price, when already cheapest on eBay, for this item. Communication was prompt and shipping was super fast. The scratches weren't enough to affect playability. This was the best TV show ever, I am so glad it finally came out on DVD sets and not over priced either. Great role models for all ages and makes you laugh in ever episode. I could watch these over and over hundred times, brings back so many memories of growing up. Love,love,love this show. Excellent price for the box set also. It's the best sitcom on TV, ever...what's not to like? I'd seen the show when I was growing up and my wife hadn't seen one episode. We don't watch a lot of TV since there's not a lot of quality these days, but The Cosby Show is high quality and also entertaining. We wanted to get the whole series, so we started looking on Ebay for them since we can find them new or used and at a lower cost than in the stores. It might be between two and five dollars, but with eight or nine seasons, the savings add up.It's the best sitcom on TV, ever...what's not to like?
