      Superior product

      This is a replacement for a recently failed unit. I use them constantly and having one in my pocket saved me from severe shock by detecting current just before opening a high voltage junction box that was shorted to the box, and surrounding I-beams of the building. They save a lot of guess work.

      Not worth the money paid when other testers do the same thing better!

      As most of the other reviews clearly state, sometimes it works, other times it doesn't. I believe the only time it has proven to be 100% reliable is on bare wiring detecting a hot lead.

      Great tester for the price!

      A must have for anyone that needs to be able to troubleshoot electrical issues quickly and safely. Has both audio and visual alerts. ON/OFF button is a little grumpy at times...have to push it down quite a ways in order to engage the button, but otherwise, I have no complaints.

      I've been an electrician for over 35yrs ...

      I've been an electrician for over 35yrs and used many of these over the years. But this only works under perfect conditions on 110AC. Too many false readings and so today my hammer fixed it for good.
