    Another success for director Alexander Payne

    Some find this movie to be too slow, even depressing, but with patience and an appreciation of the 3 or 4 principal actors--as well as the excellent cinematography--it shines as another Alexander Payne well-done effort. It can be seen as the third in the trilogy starting with his earlier About Schmidt and Sideways.

    A very entertaining movie.

    This is subjective, since different people have different tastes. And I'm not a big movie buff. But this would rank for me as one of my Top 25 favorite movies ever. The plot is entertaining, the characters are engaging, and it has a few surprises. Even though this movie was shot it black-and-white, which might turn some people off, the scenery is really great. The trend for movies nowadays seems to be action/adventure and/or raunchy. This is not one of those. Just a good, entertaining movie that you can lose yourself in. Due to some language, it's not one for kids.

    One of the best movies

    This is one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. It portrays dementia and family dynamics as spot on and the actors are very talented. The black and white photography only adds to the artistic quality of the film.
