    Great Book for Doll Costumers & French Fashion Doll Collectors

    If you costume French Fashion dolls, this is an incredible book to have in your library (especially if you can get it used, as I did.) There are a few negatives. I am not fond of the way the book is arranged; it's a little confusing with the garment information interspersed with information about places in Paris and cultural information. I would also NOT recommend this book for a beginning seamstress; some of the instructions are rather general in nature. I think you really need to know what you're doing. Other than that, the photos and garments shown (mostly 1870s, maybe an 1880s) are VERY nice. I have several books of this kind and I think this one has more authentic patterns for this time-period than any of my other books (As an aside, the book "A French Fashion Doll's Wardrobe" is ...
