    Great little first reader and easy to carry around to read at odd moments.

    Really good starting point as library has nothing to offer. Also great as has some very short stories, some longer stories and some odd proverbs. The stories come from works as far back as the 12th century and up to the 1960's so maybe won't suit those expecting 21st century colloquial spanish and I might have to cross-reference some expressions as they may not be used in same way today. But doesn't matter as good reading practice. Great opposite page translation plus exercises and vocab at back.

    easy to carry around, bite-sized learning

    It's so easy to follow the parallel text and place new phrases in their proper context. The stories, whilst being deceptively simple, are also thought provoking even for an adult.

    First Spanish Reader Dual Book by Flores

    This is a great little book - well worth the price. It contains lots of short stories in faurly simple Spanish with the advantage of Englush ewuivalent on the facing pace - vintage humourous storied and so encouraging to read - really helos my learner stage Spanish. Strongly recommend this book to adult Spanish language students.
