    Good value for general Linux knowledge

    I purchased the 3rd edition because of price, $50 vs. $330 for current 4th edition. For someone new to Linux it has more information than you can ever absorb. Some of the information is dated and if you are taking a class for credit I would reccommend the current 4th edition.
