    Book of Enoch

This in my opinion is unquestionably a book that should be in the New testament. Enoch is often referred to in the Bible by name and after reading his testimony it is clear that here was a man held in the very highest esteem by many of the other prophets. Much of what Enoch said and prophesied was actually contained in other testaments contained within the original bible- why was Enochs testimony omitted? this is open to debate- it is true much of what is written by Enoch is not for the feint of heart and perhaps this was too graphic for the original hebrew scriptures to be expected to contain- still-no less graphic than Revelations!!. Anyway I am no expert theologian but I did enjoy the read and Richard Lawrence's findings offer an amazing insight into a prophet who's work is not only ...

  • Most critical review

Script and introduction okay but the rest I am not impressed with at all.

The scripture has been modernised, so that is good. The original Laurence introduction is not in the book, which is bad. The footnote references are very unclear. I would recommend this book for the scripture it contains and the modern introduction by someone who does not reveal their name, which is bad. If you want a book that contains the original introduction and footnotes that exist then I recommend you buy another copy of the Book of Enoch. This book could have been so much better than it is but I will keep it for the scriptural text, which is what I bought it for anyway,

  • Bad quality

Book came a day after expected delivery date which isn't a problem, the quality of the book is unsatisfactory there's a white line down half the pages making some words unreadable, I find myself spending more time trying to figure out what the word is instead of actually reading the book. Would not recommend, don't know if this is a one off printing error or lots of the books have this but it didn't say so in the description. If I'd have known I wouldn't have purchased!

  • The Book of Enoch

Essential Biblical Reading. Confirmed to be valid when found among the Dead Sea Scrolls. Easy to read version of book. This ancient literature was read and known for thousands of years, yet Jews & Christians have disregarded it's validity when expelled from the land and cobbling together a Cannon of Scripture, commonly called the Bible. There are other books mentioned in the Bible that have either been lost or ignored. The Book of Enoch is a fascinating insight into how things were, are and will be and suited to those who STUDY the Bible and not just read it and form opinions. Highly recommended.
