Great bang for the buck
I use this in the effects Loop for a boost in my tube amp. So it works great in front of a tube screamer also to thicken it up a little going into the front of an amp. Love the sound, not the noise
This thing cranks the heck out of your signal, and into my amp it pushes a cleanish sound into a great rhythm overdrive sound. However, I wanted it mainly as a boost for solos into a gained-up amp and although it sounds really good it also adds a lot of noise. Heard that Ace and some other pro axe slingers used this pedal, but not much info on all that, or great sounding demos, so was worried I may have made a foolish purchase! Exactly as it should be!
This pedal is exactly what I wanted... I already have one as a clean boost at the end off my pedal board but I asking loved it as a saturation boost for my gain overdrive pedals too... Original LPB-1 when I owned it in the late 60'ss
It was cool...but too distorted for the little Kingston amp I owned...but this thing rocks with 15 watt Princeton Reverbs, Tweed Deluxe Reverbs and even my 57 Champ - it works great with PU's rolled slightly back and the LPB1 at about 1/3 to 2/3's full on...Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
