Triang Hornby Caledonian carriage - a basis for detailing
This is a reasonable representation of a Caledonian Railway carriage in the pre-grouping period. The model was in good condition and forms the basis of extra detailing as the underframe, ends and roof are from a BR Mark I carriage. The roof can be sanded and fitted with new rain strips and ventilators. Interior fittings can also be added as the model has no interior. Additional painting and lining is also needed to bring it closer to the condition of CR carriages preserved in Scotland.
