Fun film, girl power at its best, great homage to the original.
I was a bit sceptical about this film to start with as so many 'super hero' films are constant CGI effects which I always think take a bit of the heart out of it and make the characters a bit wooden. However, this one was well thought out and a good plot so kept me engaged throughout. It was great to see women depicted as intelligent, strong, vibrant and kind, the male/female power balance was just right. Down side was - once again - the the leading lady had to be scantily clad whilst the blokes remained fully covered. Silly and unrealistic but hey ho - what can one do? The other Amazons were dressed very sensibly, battle dress was still sexy but 'believable' . Regardless, a good film all round and would recommend it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Good, but not in the same league as The Avengers, Captain America or Thor movies
I had been wanting to see Wonder Woman for quite some time and although the characters were engaging, felt the plot was slow to develop and had flat spots. Five Stars Not Enouogh
The film's brilliant! Set in the last days of World War I, it starts in an island of Amazons cut off from the world in which a British spy enters with information about a German secret weapon. He is pursued by Germans. The one weak point in this film is that the Amazons win a battle aginast the Germans using swords and bows and arrows against guns, but, if you can accept this, it is a well directed battle. The story moves to London, there is some humour about the innocent Amazon in London society. I laughed quite a lot at this stage. The story then moves to the front line, where the action scene that follows is the most exciting action scene I have ever seen. Wonder Woman and her companions now move into German occupied Belgium, where wonder Woman faces two opponents who are her equal, one of whom presses her hard. There are two scenes of dramatic dialogue; the first caused by disagreement over correct action, the second is caused by Womder Woman becoming disillusioned abot the ability of the human race to be redeemed, and concluding that they don't deserved to be saved from war.
