Good solid Streaming System
Price at $20 off is still too high but I needed a new streaming channels source now. Use is easy and the response time is good on most sites. The standard channels are good choices and the "free" ROKU Channel is a good source for Movies. The computer is fast and efficient but you do need to add an SD card. Not really reliable
Frequently loses ethernet signal, usually during a movie (computer and other devices have no problems when used with same connection). WiFi is even worse. Almost impossible to not hit 'mute' by accident no matter how remote is held. Navigation buttons so close to 'enter' that it's very easy to hit wrong selection. Paid app (Netflix, Amazon, etc) no faster or more convenient than regular channel selection. Micro SD slot hard to access and use (damaged slot while trying to insert card). As might be expected, pay apps and large operators are favored. If you're looking for smaller sources you're pretty much on your own. Roku Cord Cutting Great
After many years of cable TV use, the Roku took a little bit of time to adjust to the interface. But it is really easy to use and my wife and I both are very happy with it. We are in our late 70s and are using YouTube TV, Netflix and Amazon as my main channels. Also, we discovered Weather4Us. Great weather channel. We old folks are always worrying about the weather!
