    Great Automatic Feeder for a 2 week Vacation

    I looked around at a lot of the automatic feeders that are currently offered on quite a few sites, major sellers and pet sites mostly. None of the feeders I researched had the all of the particular features I was looking for: 1. Battery powered so feeding would still happen if power is out. 2. Able to mix small and large pellet as well as different size of flake food for a single feeding. 3. Set time of day for the feeding for up to 2 weeks, or multiple feeding per day. 4. A simple and robust design that did not have parts prone to break or easily wear out. 5. Multiple ways of attaching unit to the tank or hood. The Fish Mate F14 has all of the above features.     Cheap, fragile, and unreliable.

    My wife and I set up this auto feeder on our tank to test it out before we went on vacation and it worked fine. After we cleaned the tank and set it up again to go on vacation it failed to work and our fish nearly died. It's cheap and fragile and decided to break after only one use! It was a low price, so I guess I'm not surprised. In conclusion, I would say spend the extra cash and get a better quality one because this cheap piece of junk is not very reliable. I would not buy it again even if it was on sale!

    Love this feeder!

    I use this feeder for my turtle. It's great because you can vary the types of food and even leave some days empty. Very easy to understand and best feeder I've found for my usage.

    best Fish Feeder for Beta fish

    when needing to feed a meticulous amount of food such as for a Beta (pellets), nothing beats this Fish Mate Fish Feeder. You preplan exactly the amount of food you wish to give your Beta each day or every other day, etc. The build quality is awesome. Glad I chose this one.

    Vacation fish feeder that works

    Needed a vacation fish feeder for my Betta. This worked. It is larger than expected, but was able to position the feeding hole over a hole in the tank lid. Bigger than I expected. Had to use the air hose connection to keep the food dry and keep the ants away.
