    stuck in time

    As an old dj I am always on the look out for new items, I came across a compilation cd in a charity shop that had all the usual suspects on it from the 60's and 70's. The opening track was "the French song", I liked it and then in addition I found "Colinda", both tracks were terrific so I decided to buy the above cd by Lucille Starr as it had other songs on it that I was familiar with. Sadly this is an original set of the songs and they just sound stuck in time lacking the updated production and punch of what I now know to be re-cut versions and that is a real shame for those of you reading this review, the updated versions are so much better than the originals, as best as I can make out it is a Belgian cd. Colinda (new version) has so much energy and ranks up there with Carleen Carter's ...
