Haynes Repair Manual, 05-14 Jeep Grand Cherokee: OK, but...
The manual on Jeep "WK" and "WK2" models covers a a lot of territory: a 10 year production span, 6 engine types (does not cover 3.0 l diesel), several transmission types and 2/4-wheel drive trains, any number of electrical and trim options, etc. It covers all this in about 300 pages, a number of which are spent on general information such as generic body work advice, routine tools, spark plug condition chart, etc. This is approximately 50% the size of their manual for the previous ZJ Grand Cherokee model ('93-98). Admittedly, new cars are increasingly complex and truly thorough manuals would be beyond the scope and cost expectation of many DIY readers. It is what it is- a good introduction and detailed enough for some repairs and maintenance tasks. The bottom line is that it appears spotty in some coverage and is no substitute for actual shop manuals or even careful searches on owner forums. Overall, it is a step beyond the OEM owner booklet and only time will tell how well the manual coverage compromises fit your particular needs. Final hint to manual authors/ editors: at least mention the tire pressure monitoring systems somewhere in the well-worn tire maintenance advice.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
