Engaging story
This riveting movie follows Anne as a young adult in the early 1900s. Her husband enlists in the military as a medic, serving in France during in World War I, and his whereabouts become unknown. Anne, headstrong as ever, travels to France on a mission to find him. The movie chronicles the obstacles she faces in her search. This is an older DVD, with the 3+ hour movie split onto both sides of the disc. One drawback is that there are no closed-captions.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Not a fan of this movie..
Was not a fan of this movie. I have only ever seen the first two, and was curious how the story ended. Well, after watching this one, I kind of wished I had never known. It had good parts, but was overall disappointing. It also had some sexual suggestions, which I didn't like; the first two were wholesome and clean. Anne of Green Gables not hardly.
The DVD arrived on time and was in excellent condition. Unfortunately, the story in this movie did not live up to that quality of the first two installments of Anne of Green Gables. Why the writer went off in this new direction left me scratching my head after the movie. I was looking forward to seeing a romance between Anne and Gilbert bloom, but Gilbert had a bit part in this movie. A very interesting film with something to satisfy everyone. Love, action and courage. It is very noticeable that it wasnt produced within the last ten years as it is very little politics or SJW causes which makes it all the more refreshing.
