A good powerful Wi fi booster

This Wi Fi booster does the job well. Set up is easy...however I do wish the writter of the instructions would "dry run" them against the general public. As the physics would suggest the 4GHz channel doe not have the range of the 2GHz channel but both channels are good with the legal contraints.

  • Most critical review

It may be good - but it wasn't for me

This extender is listed as a Best Buy from Which? I was so hopeful this was going to extend our wifi to far flung rooms, but alas neither I nor my tech savvy son could get to the end of the set up instructions because it would not accept the password of my internet provider. We tried several times using different methods. I contacted Netgear for support and all I got back was a lot of guff which didn't answer my specific question at all. I have regretfully returned the product and hope to be reimbursed..

  • Great range extender

My wifi hub is in a room that has thick external walls, so the wifi in the rest of the house is slow and patchy at best. This unit is small and unobtrusive, it does however need to plug into a mains socket direct and on a double wall socket you will struggle to use the second socker. My solution was to use a short extension lead, which also meant i could better place the extender. The instructions were easy to follow and I had the hub set up in about 15 mins. You then just need to log all your wifi phones, tablets laptops etc to it using the same password as your main wifi hub.. i now get a great signal through most of the house, well worth the money

  • Worth the money.

Not the most sensitive item, but comparitively cheap. Produced wifi where none existed before, which was the original idea, but that was at about its maximum range - some 30 feet from the access point via an outside brick wall and a double wood wall enclosing a couple of inches of rock wool. Easy to set up, and very innocuous. Served the purpose quite well.
