    in the heat of the night- very true and very ingaging!

    I started with the first few seasons; remembering watching the show on tv at the beginning, i could not wait to see every episode. After my wife and i were close to finishing a season i would reorder till i got all 8. Carrol O'Conner is at his best! The rest of the supporting cast are perfect at betraying a period of the south that many are not familiar with. Some episodes are very moving and will cause sad or upsetting feelings, but the series is addicting. I am on season 6 and usually watch 3 episodes a night.
