    Not as useful as I had hoped....

    Despite being advertised as "open\unlocked I found that there are sections of the 900MHz Ham band & sections of the Military airbac 230MHz-400Mhz that radio will not allow entry into or monitoring....many lesser priced scanners easily cover both these band so I found strange that this radio couldn't....for the relatively high price I found these gaps quite disappointing. Quality is good but there are SDR's out there for less than 20% of the price of this unit with no holes in the coverage

    Sophisticated radio for serious SW listeners

    The radio is good. The only criticism is the absence of a fuse in the fuse box of the power wire included. It would also be better if the manual is in English rather than Japanese.
