This Incredible Hulk collection contains two made for TV films, THE INCREDIBLE HULK RETURNS and THE TRIAL OF THE INCREDIBLE HULK, that are continuations of the popular TV show that ran from 1978-1982. Once again, Bill Bixby is Dr. David Banner and Lou Ferrigno his alter ego, the Hulk. In THE INCREDIBLE HULK RETURNS, the Hulk teams up with fellow comic book hero Thor to fight evil just as Banner seems to have found a cure for his big green alter ego.THE TRIAL OF THE INCREDIBLE HULK finds Dr. Banner on trial in New York after being accused of assault by a woman pressured to lie by the nefarious Kingpin. Defended by attorney Matt Murdock, who moonlights as the superhero Daredevil, Banner eventually teams up with his attorney to bring down Kingpin after the Hulk escapes from jail.Product Identifiers

Bill Bixby, was truly worthy of his role as Dr. David Banner.
This 2 disc set, comes with a booklet that details the cancellation of the show to the time they made these movies. For the CGI spoiled crowd, you're not going to be all that impressed. It's a little dated for the time period; however, it's not 60's and 70's era so most can watch it without having to lookup stuff they saw in the show. Back in the days before CGI became a big deal in movies... People had to actually be actors and act out the scenes, in its entirety. They didn't have the kind of budget that they do today, so they had to make do with what they had. There's some overacting in certain parts, and the script leaves a few more questions than it answers but, that's the beauty of tv shows. Leaves more for the next one. Similar concept is done with these movies. The tv show, was the only Incredible Hulk production, that I ever cared about watching an entire series of. Waited to see these movies as it meant, that I am almost to the end of that era. Only one more movie, follows these. These aren't long movies. There's very little, if any profanity. I don't recall hearing any but, if there was, it was not memorable. Tame in comparison, to the language used today. No nudity, aside from the shirtless Hulk/Banner afterwards. In Hollywood today, that hardly counts. There's some brief kissing, nothing excessive nor, is their anything that would be considered "adult content". That was Bill Bixby's aim. To make something that was kid friendly, and not so cartoonish for adults. This is something a kid could watch. If you walk out of the room, you don't need to worry about it content wise. I know long review. But, most don't actually take the time to write reviews, that are worth the time to read. Not saying that mine is either. I felt compelled to give it a proper chance, at least. The Incredible Hulk Returns is the best!!
I would have to say that out of the two movies, The Return of The Incredible Hulk is better than the Trial of The Incredible Hulk. Even though it was nice to see two other Marvel superheroes, Thor and Daredevil, make an appearance. There is even an interesting featurette about the history of The Incredible Hulk TV show on one of the discs. If you're a Marvel fan as well as a fan of The Incredible Hulk TV show, this shouldn't be missed.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
