    Disappointed. Will run it until it dies to get a different one.

    I wanted the Hunter because you didn't have to replace the filter. But, what I did not get was a way to adjust how much humidity you could have in the house. It runs non-stop. They say it shuts off after 24 hours. I don't trust it enough to let it run while I am gone. So, I run it at night when I am there. I had a different model before and loved it. It had the automatic shut off when it reach the humidity level I set. So disappointed that Hunter no longer makes them. I paid $70.00 for this 2 gallon model which is a bit high to me.

    Good little humidifier. I had a Hunter 3.5 gal humidifier with bells & whistles that I really liked such as the humidity readout and adjustable humidity level and the refill light ...but it's not made anymore nor was I able to find it as 'new old stock'. So I purchased this smaller 2 gal Hunter. It works well and does the job - my 1000 sf coach home feels warmer now . I'm able to lower the furnace temp by 2-3 degrees even in this below 20 degree weather. I'm in the Chicago area.

    A very easy to maintain humidifier.

    This humidifier does not require a paper wick filter which makes them cheaper, and easier to run. Unfortunately this model is not produced any longer.
