You play an undercover cop named Tanner who is hired as a driver for the mob. Of course, the cops don?t know that you are a cop, so when things go awry, they?ll hunt you down as if you were gutter trash. Should your driving skills be good enough to outwit the law (unfortunately for you, these guys are smarter than your average Roscoe P. Coltrane), you?ll move up in the mob world. Driver lets gamers relive the old Starsky & Hutch-style police chases, and then use the replay mode to create their own mini-chase scene movies. Just make sure the hero gets away -- the movies where the law wins are never any fun.

A timeless classic that has amazing graphics by 1999 standards
I find it a bit interesting that this version has the bleeping like the PS1 version. Some releases of the PC version have fully uncensored language. There were boxed versions of the game but even just the jewel case is perfectly fine. I also love the CD Audio soundtrack, which seems to act a little wonky and keep repeating tracks on modern systems, but it's excellent nonetheless. All the unlocks from beating the game are fantastic and you get to pick a variety of different cars for Take A Ride mode. All the cities are fun to drive in as well. The story of Tanner uncovering a criminal plot is also fun to follow.
