    Having bought a Jati Teak 3 seater garden bench recently i thought i would need to coat it with some teak preservative. Initially i bought Teak oil but upon reading that this over time causes problems i looked again. In the end i bought the protector from the manufacturer. It is more expensive product and having to be applied by cloth seemed unlikely to get into wood joint corners. However using it proved easy and the matt result pleasing. I will recoat it prior to the winter and use a cover.

    I’ve not given five stars as only time will tell how good the protection is. However, it went on well and should be enough to protect my garden bench for a couple of years. If this works out to be true it’ll be good value for money.

    This teak protector produces a natural coloured finish, but every time bird poo is wiped of with a wet cloth, part of the stain goes with it, leaving a blotchy finish. Had to rub down table table, retain and cover with 3 coats of varnish.

    If you want to use one thing to protect your teak garden furniture then use this

    Amazing results year after year with this product. Works brilliantly on new and old furniture I have used various products over the years and have used this for the last two. This year I stripped all my old teak furniture of all the other coatings I had put on over the years down to the wood (Other than the ones I have already used this stuff on) and used this teak protector. I have attempted to download photos of before and after but failed so take my word for it this stuff is priceless.They now appear as good as new Just to add this is a water based product so easy to clean up best application is with rag or brush and immediately wipe off with a rag, Second/third coats ready in no time.

    Very easy to apply with the enclosed cloth. A little goes a long way. No odour and less mess than an oil. Dries really quickly so two coats can be applied in the same afternoon. The day after I used it it rained and the rain just bubbled up like it does on a freshly polished car. Very pleased and impressed.

    Teak Protector

    Was a bit sceptical at first this being water based but was pleasantly surprised & my Wife was. Because 1) Easy & quick to apply , 2) No Smell (or minimum but not horribly smelly), 3) Dries Quick (so you can do multiple coats in a day, 4) Therefore jobs get done quicker , Overall I am well pleased the only thing I cant comment on is the durability, But as its so quick & easy to use I cant see a problem as long as it doesn't need doing Monthly I cant see a problem.
